2025 25th Alliance Against Trafficking

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are looking forward to your participation at the 25^th Conference of the Alliance against Trafficking in Persons. The Conference will offer a timely opportunity to reflect on two decades of efforts to combat child trafficking within the OSCE region and underscore the need for a renewed focus and collective action by providing a comprehensive overview of the current landscape of child trafficking, analysing the vulnerabilities and risk factors that expose children to trafficking, examining present trends and patterns, and highlighting promising practices as well as gaps in existing responses.

The Conferences of the Alliance against Trafficking in Persons are attended by representatives of the 57 OSCE participating States and 11 Partners for Co-operation, major international organizations and NGOs that are partners in the Alliance against Trafficking in Persons, as well as civil society, experts with lived experience, media, the private sector, academia, and relevant professional networks of national anti-trafficking practitioners.

The 25^th Conference of the Alliance against Trafficking in Persons will be conducted in Vienna and bring the OSCE anti-trafficking community together. For those who cannot travel to Vienna, a Zoom link to follow the discussions will be provided after the registration deadline.

Only registered participants will be able to access the conference venue or online sessions. The registration will close on 24 March 2025.

Summary

For the purpose of ensuring that all participants in meetings are treated with dignity and respect, and are aware of their role and responsibilities in maintaining a positive meeting environment free of any form of discrimination, the organizers inform all participants that no form of discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment, will be tolerated during the meeting.

Discrimination consists of any unfair treatment or arbitrary distinction based on a person’s race, sex, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, language, social origin or other status.

Harassment is any improper and unwelcome conduct that might reasonably be expected or be perceived to cause offence or humiliation to another person. Harassment may take the form of words, gestures or actions which tend to annoy, alarm, abuse, demean, intimidate, belittle, humiliate or embarrass another or which create an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment.

Sexual harassment is any unwelcome sexual advance, request for sexual favour, verbal or physical conduct or gesture of a sexual nature, or any other behaviour of a sexual nature that might reasonably be expected or be perceived to cause offence or humiliation to another .

The organizers have the duty to take all appropriate measures towards ensuring a harmonious, inclusive, respectful and safe meeting environment, and to protect all participants in the meeting from exposure to any form of the above conduct.
